Hosea 4
Israel’s destruction came from a lack of knowledge of God and an understanding of Him and His law. The biggest reason for this was the poor leadership from the priesthood. They were supposed to be teaching the people about God and what his law (literally “instruction”) was. The same is true for us today. A lack of knowledge of God AND Jesus our Lord will lead us to ruin. In order to initiate change in our lives it is imperative that we know the One that can bring about that change.

Hosea 3:1-5
Hosea loved his wife and demonstrated his covenant promises to her despite the infidelity that riddled her life. Hosea went to great lengths to show his love and compassion; He even redeemed her from her life of harlotry. Just as Hosea.

Hosea 2:1-23
Due to Israel's unfaithfulness, God is going to leave her to her own devices. He will allow her to trust in her own beauty, be deceived by other nations, and God will allow her to wander aimlessly until she realizes that her trust has been in the wrong places. It will be then, that God reconciles Himself to His people, and allures Israel to come home to her faithful husband and true God, Yahweh.

Hosea 1:1-11

Hosea is a book that sternly warns Israel about their unfaithfulness, impending judgment, and the desire of God for His people's repentance.
