Jonah's Descent & God's Deliverance
Monday Feb 10, 2025
Monday Feb 10, 2025
In Jonah chapter 2, Brandon emphasizes the transformative power of God's grace for those who have hit rock bottom, using the story of Jonah as a key illustration. Jonah's descent away from God illustrates how sin separates us from Him, often leading us to despair, but it is in our lowest moments that we can look up and call upon God for salvation. He highlights that true salvation belongs to the Lord, not through our efforts but through God’s merciful intervention, which is epitomized in Jesus. Ultimately, Pastor Brandon encourages listeners to confront their despair and recognize that God can restore and redeem, offering hope even in the direst circumstances.

Monday Jan 27, 2025
This week we look at Jonah's self-absorption and parallel it to the story Jesus tells in Luke 18. Self-absorbed people show contempt for others, compare themselves to others, and seek to exalt themselves. We see the contrast in 1 Timothy with Paul's humility. Dive in with us as we study God's word together.

I AM the Way, the Truth, & the Life
Monday Dec 30, 2024
Monday Dec 30, 2024
In his last conversation with his disciples before being arrested and ultimately crucified, Jesus comforts His disciples, urging them not to be troubled. He assures them of a prepared place in His Father's house and promises to return for them. Providing a contrast, Israel's failure to trust God's plan led them to miss the Promised Land due to fear and unbelief. This lack of faith hindered Israel from receiving God's promises. Similarly, in John 5:1-9, Jesus heals a man paralyzed for 38 years, symbolizing the transformative power of faith and the path to true healing, peace, and fulfillment, found only in Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life.
