Secular society greatly emphasizes strong leadership, or the lack thereof, in the success or failure of its governance, corporations, schools, or organizations. If our culture requires such greatness in leadership, how much more should it be required in God's Church? Paul gives Timothy instructions on the quality of character that men should possess in order to lead God's Church and also gives insight into the approval of such men. What is most important is where that approval begins.
