Hosea 9:1-9
Hosea, the Prophet of Israel warns the people of God of the impeding judgment. God removed the production from the Threshing Floor and the defile nation will no longer offer acceptable offerings to God.

Hosea 8:7-14
It has always been said that, "You reap what you sow." This principle is true in the scriptures and was true of Israel. They could have sowed righteousness and reaped the steadfast love of God, but instead they multiplied their sin and iniquity and reaped destruction as a nation.

Hosea 8:1-6
A watchmen blew the trumpet when danger was imminent. A God's prophet and "watchman", Hosea warned Israel of God's coming judgment. Like Israel, those of us who know the Lord should be as watchmen. We must not only be hearers of the word but also doers of the word. Otherwise, we are deceiving ourselves and will not be blessed in what we do.

Hosea 7
Israel was half-baked and empty in their devotion towards God. Their infidelity and hope in foreign nations left them alone and without protection, and even their own kings struggled to see their demise.

Sound the alarm. Judgment is coming! Those are words that Hosea, a prophet of God shared with Israel in their idolatry, sin, and sinful living. God's patience with His people was running out and His impeding judgment was coming upon Israel.

Hosea 4
Israel’s destruction came from a lack of knowledge of God and an understanding of Him and His law. The biggest reason for this was the poor leadership from the priesthood. They were supposed to be teaching the people about God and what his law (literally “instruction”) was. The same is true for us today. A lack of knowledge of God AND Jesus our Lord will lead us to ruin. In order to initiate change in our lives it is imperative that we know the One that can bring about that change.

Hosea loved his wife and demonstrated his covenant promises to her despite the infidelity that riddled her life. Hosea went to great lengths to show his love and compassion; He even redeemed her from her life of harlotry. Just as Hosea.

Hosea 2:1-23
Due to Israel's unfaithfulness, God is going to leave her to her own devices. He will allow her to trust in her own beauty, be deceived by other nations, and God will allow her to wander aimlessly until she realizes that her trust has been in the wrong places. It will be then, that God reconciles Himself to His people, and allures Israel to come home to her faithful husband and true God, Yahweh.

Hosea 1:1-11
